Care instructions
Looking after your Korulle ring
All our rings are made to be worn every day, but a little care goes a long way in keeping them looking their best.
Stainless steel (Taika, Hehku, Kierre)
Stainless steel is the most low-maintenance material we use. It won't rust or tarnish under normal conditions.
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth to remove fingerprints and restore shine
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or rough cloths — they'll scratch the mirror finish
- Store separately from other jewellery to prevent surface scratches
- Safe to wear during light activity; remove before heavy manual work or gym use
Alpakka / German silver (Ruusu, Kruunu, Niitty, Kevätkukka, Kukinto, Puutarha)
Alpakka develops a warm natural patina over time — many people love this aged look. If you prefer to keep it bright, regular polishing is easy.
- Polish with a soft silver cloth or dry microfibre cloth to restore shine
- Remove before swimming, showering, or washing hands with soap — moisture accelerates tarnishing
- Avoid perfume, hand cream, and cleaning products directly on the ring
- Store in the included pouch when not wearing
- Note: alpakka contains nickel. If you have a nickel sensitivity, please check before purchasing
Brass (Lehti)
Brass is a living material — it develops a patina naturally and may leave a faint greenish mark on skin in warm weather. This is completely harmless and washes off easily.
- To slow patina development: keep dry and store in the pouch
- To restore the original finish: polish with a brass polishing cloth or a small amount of lemon juice on a soft cloth, then rinse and dry thoroughly
- Remove before swimming or showering
General tips for all rings
- Put your ring on after applying perfume, sunscreen, or hand cream
- Remove before cleaning with household chemicals
- When in doubt, store in the pouch — it prevents scratching and slows tarnishing
